Dear Parishioners,
My heart is full of gratitude for all the well wishes and gifts last Sunday at Priest Appreciation. I personally read each card I received. I'm so blessed to have gotten so many spiritual bouquets from many of you. I want to thank the vocation team for their work and support.
October is Respect Life month. I challenge you to find ways to support life in all its stages.
On October 13th of this year, we mark the centennial apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Blessed Mother calls us to conversion and prayer. October 13th is also the feast day of our patron saint, Saint Edward. We continue to ask his guidance and intercession for our parish. Additionally, October 13th marks my fourth year here at St. Edward. My heart is full of gratitude for each one of you. I thank you for your prayers and support. Together let us build the kingdom of God.
This Sunday's second reading, Philippians 4, is the motto of my priestly life. It reminds me to depend on God for everything. Let us continue making our prayers and actions part of respecting life every day. Let us honor our Blessed Mother, Saint Edward and our Lord in all we do.
In Christ,
Fr. Christian
