Dear Parishioners,
I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank those who were involved in making the church decorations beautiful for the Christmas season. Some parishioners told me that the decorations this past Christmas were some of the most beautiful they have seen.
Reflecting about it, I am reminded that our parish community really is beautiful - and it manifests its beauty by the way we decorate our church and by the way we celebrate our liturgies. I hope we all know that the beauty of our parish community is not from its appearance or decorations but rather, its appearance is a fruit of our beauty. In other words, what makes our parish community beautiful is God manifesting His presence in the parishioners - in all of us.
We come from different backgrounds, but we are one parish community - members of the one Body of Christ here on earth. Truly there is beauty in diversity, especially if we have the love of God. One of my prayers for our parish this year is for us to continue to grow together in our faith and in our unity as people of God.
May God continue to bless us all this New Year 2018 and always.
In Christ,
Fr. Christian
