Dear Parishioners,
Thank you once again for all your prayers, I am back and it is good to be back.
Our pilgrimage to the Holy Land was amazing, no words to describe how I felt! Thanks to God and the Blessed Mother for protecting us throughout the trip. Thanks to everybody, who participated in our Pilgrimage and for all your prayers. Without you, the trip would not be possible! Thanks to Nativity Pilgrimage Tours for a wonderful pilgrimage, we could not ask for anything better! For me, I will never forget the holy places I had privileged to visit and say Masses!
Spending some time away from “work” is like a retreat for me where I encounter our Lord in a different way than the normal encounter I have with Him in the daily ministry that I have as a pastor. The life of a priest is always a life at “work” in the sense that we never really let go of our ministry and we never stop being who we are just because we are not in our parish community – in that sense, we never really stop working. But being away from the parish community gives us the opportunity to do a different kind of work or a different kind of witnessing. I found refuge and strength in prayers and I am grateful that I was given permission to regularly celebrate the Mass in Holy Land.
Let us always remember that as Christians, we never stop being witnesses of Jesus Christ no matter where we are and who the people around us are. Let us be vigilant in being good witnesses of our Lord. This is not easy and we can never do it on our own abilities so let us find refuge and strength in prayers and the Eucharist – the food of our soul.
Please keep
May God bless you all.
In Christ,
Fr. Christian
