Vacation Bible School

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!

Adult Ministry Leades who have children in PK (ages 3 &4) are able to register them for VBS as well. 

All adult parishioners (18 years of age/graduated from high school and older) are encouraged to prayerfully consider serving in the leadership team for Vacation Bible School. There are several ways adults can get involved based on their gifts and talents. 

STATION LEADERS: we have several stations and ideally each station has two to three adults who can serve the whole week. Stations we will have are:

• First Aid 

If you have any kind of medical background and/or are CPR trained, and are comfortable administering first aid for children, teens, adults alike, this station is for you! When there is no emergency, these station leaders can assist with Sing and Play Express. Location of this station: PLC Meeting Room.  
 

• Sing and Play Express

If you love theater, singing, and dancing, and enjoy working with teens and children, this station is for you. Here the adults will work with teens in creating and perfoming skits, and teaching the children the songs and dances for the week.  They will also facilitate Kid Vid which is a time to connect the bible verse of the day with the overall theme of the week through a video and discussion. Location of station: Parish Life Center.
 

• Bible Adventures

If you love diving into the scriptures and bringing them to life, this is the station for you. Each day will have a different bible story to focus on and the station leaders have the opportunity to create environment and decorate the space in such a way that it allows children to enter into the story.  Location of this station: Youth Room.
 

• Imagination Station

This is where the "sciency-fun wows" will take place and where the saint of the day will be introduced.  We will use jaw-dropping sciency-fun gizmos to bring the daily Bible verse to life! Location: Junior High Building.
 

• Red Rock Games

If you enjoy being active, being silly, and working with teens and children, this station is for you! Expect running, laughing, a little ordered chaos, and loud noise. If you thrive in this envinroment, then this station is ideal for you. Location of station: Gym.
 

• Snacks

This is perfect for adults who enjoy working in the kitchen: cooking, serving, cleaning and finding God in the ordinary tasks of life! While most snacks will be individually packaged, we need assistance coordinating, serving, and cleaning up the kitchen and snack area. Location of this station: Gym.
 

• Pre-Kinder (available for children of Adult Ministers only)

Children in preK will have their own small group in which they will experience every station, with the exception of Sing and Play. We need three adults who can serve as station leaders for this group and facilitate Imagination Station, Red Rock Games, Bible Adventures and Snacks.  If you enjoy working with teens and little ones, this station is perfect for you.  Location of this station: PreK Building.

CREW LEADERS: we are expecting to have a total of 12 crews with 10 children in each. This means we need at least 24 adults who can minister to the children.  These adults will spend time getting to know the children in their small groups, help build community within their small group, and create an environment of fellowship and joy.

Crews will rotate from station to station and adult crew leaders will walk with their small group, being present to them, and guiding them through the day.  Be ready to assist at the stations in leading small group discussion or reflecting on the activities at the end of the day.

Mark these dates and plan to be present during these work days as we will use them to prepare decorations, practice the songs, dances, and skits, and go over station planning.

Safe Environment:
All adult ministers must complete the Safe Envirnoment training by April 30th. Please click here to access our Safe Environment Information Page which include the link for the online training.

Registration and t-shirt:
Ministry leaders will receive two payment links after submitting registration.  The first link is the Vacation Bible School payment link and the second link is the t-shirt payment link. 

All payments are non-refundable.
